Resiliency
We all have setbacks in life. What you do during these times is the key. I learned grit from my Grandpa Ray. Grandpa lost his arm in WW2. He came home and built a house for his family with his non-dominant hand, and a hook on his stump.
Respect
I was the first to go to college in my family. My mom, Peggy, started as a secretary, and my father was a dog food factory worker. Coming from a hardworking, humble family I believe regardless of role, responsibility, or title everyone deserves to be treated with respect.
Continuous Learner
I'm no Einstein, but I love to learn. This was instilled in me by my mother. I love to learn from others; great mentors are invaluable. I also enjoy listening to audiobooks as I'm in my car or on my lawn mower.
Integrity
I believe leaders need to have fanatical levels of integrity; modeling this characteristic and instilling into the organization's culture.
Fun
I like to have fun. Looking for ways to thank, recognize, and celebrate with team members is a must. Outside of work my interests are family, friends, fitness, and food.
